Your complete guide to setting up the TMAT — the anti-slide cargo solution for your truck bed, SUV, or trailer.
Orient every piece before you begin
Stack all panels and parts with the male dovetails facing the same direction. This ensures every piece is oriented correctly before assembly begins.
The dovetail is the interlocking joint on the edge of each panel — look for the raised tab that slots into the next panel's groove.
Lay all pieces out first and visually confirm every dovetail faces the same way. This prevents having to disassemble and re-orient mid-build.
Build your first row on the ground or tailgate
Assemble panels on the ground or on your tailgate, working left to right and keeping the male dovetails facing to the bottom and right.
Align the dovetail of one panel with the groove on the next. Apply light pressure and slide them together until they lock securely.
Keep the male dovetails consistently facing to the bottom and to the right throughout assembly. This is critical for all panels to connect properly.
Work back to front, connecting each row
Work from the back to the front, assembling rows by snapping the rows of panels together. Ensure all rows and panels are secured together.
You should hear and feel a satisfying snap when each row locks into place.
Give the assembled section a gentle tug to confirm every connection is secure before moving to the next row.
Hold everything in place
Insert blockers as you need by lining up the blocker pegs with the panels and inserting with an even pressure.
Blockers create barriers within the grid to compartmentalize your cargo area and keep items from shifting during transit.
Position blockers around your cargo to create custom-sized compartments. They can be repositioned at any time as your load changes.
Tmat is designed for enclosed and covered cargo areas such as covered truck beds, SUVs, vans, campers, and enclosed trailers. Extra precautions must be taken when used in an open-air cargo area to protect from wind and roll-overs. Tmat should never be used in an open-sided bed or with the tailgate down.
